The Mercedes-AMG E 53 4MATIC+ Cabriolet brings a new level of power to the open road.

But as dazzling as the E 53 looks, its true beauty may lie beneath the surface: a new electrified 3.0-liter engine, capable of 429 hp and 384 lb-ft of torque. Which only begins to suggest its possibilities, because the cabriolet also boasts a 48-volt electrical system that aids the vehicle’s mechanics and makes an additional 21 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque possible through an EQ Boost starter-alternator. It represents the next level in a happy relationship between power and efficiency, all in service of a drive that’s as refined as it is aggressive.

Alongside the new Mercedes-AMG E 53 Coupe and CLS 53, the E 53 Cabriolet premiered at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. It arrives on streets nationwide later this year.
