A Taste of the Future

To explore the parallels between automotive and culinary excellence, Mercedes-Benz created the ‘A Taste of the Future’ dining series in partnership with MICHELIN Guide. This series pairs chefs from MICHELIN-starred restaurants with emerging culinary talent to give Canadians a glimpse into the future of luxury through one-of-a-kind dining experiences.

Toronto: FRILU
The very first A Taste of the Future event took place at FRILU, a One MICHELIN Star restaurant and the only restaurant in Canada to receive a MICHELIN Green Star in recognition of its sustainable practices.
The event saw a first-of-its-kind collaboration between John-Vincent Troiano, Executive Chef of FRILU, alongside Chef Joel Gray and Hannah Harradine, co-founders of Down Home by Sumac & Salt.
Our chefs drew their inspiration from the pioneering spirit of Mercedes-Benz, crafting original courses along themes of innovation, aesthetics, and sustainability.
