Countless racing-derived technologies unite in the E 63 S Wagon's handcrafted 4.0L biturbo V8. Among them: pair of twin-scroll turbos, nested in the "hot V" to cut loss and lag, and ultralow-friction NANOSLIDE cylinder walls. One result: 0-100 in 3.5 seconds.

The multiclutch AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9-speed offers lightning-quick gear changes, fingertip-close shift paddles, and a variety of modes. Intelligent sensors allow direct multi-gear downshifts, automatic rev matching, and holding of gears in cornering manoeuvres.
Let the sound match the fury.
From the startup growl to the unleashing of revs, the AMG sport exhaust is a symphony of high-performance, and a soundtrack born on the track. A performance exhaust in the AMG Driver's Package adds selectable modes, from all-out celebration to coming-home quiet.
Know when to hold tight, and when to relax.
Dynamic engine mounts feature magnetorheological fluid that can stiffen progressively as electrical current is applied. The mounts can firm up for added handling precision in extreme performance situations, yet relax to maximize comfort on the open road.

AMG Performance 4MATIC+ makes the most of the engine's 627 lb-ft of peak torque, without sacrificing the agility AMG drivers crave. Variable-torque 4MATIC+ maximizes launch grip, powers the E 63 S out of corners with authority, and even lets you engage a full-RWD "Drift" mode. 
There's a mode for every mood.
AMG DYNAMIC SELECT lets you dial in the throttle mapping, shifting behavior, damping rate, ESP intervention and more. A console paddle lets you select any of five preset modes, from Comfort to Sport+ to a RACE mode. There's even an Individual mode you can set up as you like.

The AMG Sport Suspension based on AIR BODY CONTROL turns air into agility. It lowers at speed. It responds in milliseconds to challenging roads, changing loads, and the modes of AMG DYNAMIC SELECT. Standing guard behind the 20-inch wheels of the AMG E 63 S are supersized brakes with massive stopping power. Composite 390mm front discs with 6-piston red calipers are standard. For extreme performance, optional AMG Carbon Ceramic brakes are even larger yet 40% lighter than conventional brakes.

A reconfigurable digital instrument panel with twin 12.3-inch screens and exclusive AMG performance readouts helps keep you in the know. An available AMG Head-Up Display puts key info even closer to your line of sight. And a new AMG Track Pace App lets you store and share driving data via your iPhone®.
