Women's Executive Network
Mercedes-Benz Canada: Proud Sponsor of the Women’s Executive Network (WXN)
Mercedes-Benz Canada is committed to nurturing and supporting the next generation of female visionaries, in part through an ongoing partnership with the Women’s Executive Network (WXN). WXN delivers innovative networking, mentoring, professional and personal development to inform, inspire, connect and recognize a global community of more than 22,000 people and organizations.
Mercedes-Benz Emerging Leaders Award
In 2018, Mercedes-Benz Canada broadened its support for WXN by sponsoring a new category in Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Awards: The Mercedes-Benz Emerging Leaders Award.
The award celebrates the professional achievements of women, aged 30 to 45, who are at the mid-level stage of their careers. These women are seen as high-potential contributors within their organizations and have been targeted for successive leadership positions. They are passionate about learning and innovating, and have accomplished a great deal in their chosen fields.
2022: Women With Drive
This year, we celebrated the recipients of the Mercedes-Benz Emerging Leaders Award by giving them a chance to connect. To connect to their goals, to their motivation, to their wellbeing, to each other… and to the very best versions of themselves.
Through wellness coaching from award-winning wellness leader Eva Redpath and a unique styling masterclass from celebrity stylist Julianne Costigan, our winners were treated to a well-deserved day of self-reflection, self-expression, and celebration.
2021: Driven to Inspire
We celebrated the recipients of the 2021 Mercedes-Benz Emerging Leaders Award with a day of networking, learning, and goal setting—in style.
Our Emerging Leaders came together to connect, gain knowledge and insights about personal branding, and take part in a shared meditation and visualization exercise. In the end, they emerged with the tools they’ll need to succeed in the next stage of their careers.
2020: She’s Mercedes Virtual Wellness Retreat
A year unlike any other required a novel celebration for our Mercedes-Benz Emerging Leaders Award recipients. The She’s Mercedes Virtual Wellness Retreat gave the winners an opportunity to connect through a unique—and timely—shared online experience.
Though physically distant, participants came together over meaningful discussions about the challenges facing professional women in 2020, tips and techniques on how to stay connected and engaged while staying apart, and the ways constraints fuel creativity and innovation across sectors. The day’s discussions were punctuated by a number of activities, including a mindfulness meditation and a movement class, both led by award-winning wellness leader Eva Redpath, as well as a healthy lunch with Fresh Restaurants founder Ruth Tal.
A holistic approach proved to be the secret to success for the She’s Mercedes Virtual Wellness Retreat, which not only recognized our Mercedes-Benz Emerging Leaders Award recipients but laid the foundation for lasting connections between them in the years to come, as well.
2019
The 2019 Mercedes-Benz Emerging Leaders Award winners were invited to attend a day of networking, female empowerment, and off-road driving at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario. The program brought them together in an authentic, poignant way, offering them the opportunity to connect with one another, as well as with the Mercedes-Benz brand. Through a series of interviews, they were able to share stories about their successes and challenges in a meaningful way.
2018
2018’s inaugural winners were invited to celebrate at “Women on the Fast Track,” a unique experience that combined women’s achievements with high-performance vehicles. The program served to expose the winners to a different kind of high-performance setting, while providing them with opportunities to engage with, learn from, and be inspired by one another.
