Trip Interruption Benefit

If your Mercedes-Benz experiences a non-accident-related mechanical breakdown that leaves your vehicle unable to continue driving, we may reimburse certain expenses incurred during repairs.

To qualify:

• Your vehicle must be towed through Mercedes-Benz Roadside Assistance
• Original receipts must be provided

Coverage Details

If the breakdown happens within 80 km of your home:

• Alternative transportation includes vehicle rental, ridesharing or other commercial transportation (fuel and drop-off fees excluded) up to $100 per incident.
• Incidentals include telephone and parking expenses up to $25 per incident.

If the breakdown happens more than 80 km from your home:

• Accommodation includes hotel stays for up to 5 nights near the breakdown or repair facility up to $500 per incident.
  Note: To be eligible, accommodations should not have been booked prior to the breakdown. Meals, alcohol and gratuities aren't covered.
• Alternative transportation includes commercial airfare, vehicle rental, taxi, ridesharing or other transportation (fuel and drop-off fees excluded) up to $600 per incident.
• Incidentals include telephone and parking expenses up to $25 per incident.

Submitting a Claim & Getting Help

How to Submit a Claim

• Submit your claim within 30 days of the breakdown date at: Submit a Roadside Assistance Claim
• Provide the following:
  • Cause and location of the breakdown
  • Original towing invoice (if applicable)
  • Detailed repair invoice
  • Original receipts for all eligible expenses
• Claims cover expenses incurred within 72 hours of the breakdown. We recommend keeping copies of all documents for your records.
• Once approved, reimbursement will be issued by cheque or e-Transfer. Please allow 4–6 weeks for processing.

Call Mercedes-Benz Roadside Assistance at 1-800-387-0100 or use the Me/Breakdown button on your vehicle (if applicable).

You’ll be asked to provide:

• Your name
• Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
• Vehicle year, model and colour
• Contact phone number
• Vehicle location
• Description of the issue

Trip Interruption benefits are available for breakdowns occurring anywhere in Canada or the continental United States and are subject to the terms and conditions set by Mercedes-Benz Canada Inc.
