4.0L V8 biturbo with mild hybrid drive
<p>Advanced performance comes from a high-output yet compact 4.0L biturbo V8. The gasoline engine can deliver 510 hp and 538 lb-ft of peak torque for commanding response, while its hybrid assist can add up to 21 hp electrically. Racing-derived technology ranges from its turbocharger layout to its low-friction NANOSLIDE cylinder walls. And its high-pressure Direct Injection and rapid-multispark ignition can self-tune on the fly with millisecond speed and molecular precision.</p>
4MATIC fully variable all-wheel drive
<p>A specially engineered version of 4MATIC can automatically send from zero to 100% of the engine's torque to either axle, front or rear. A transfer case with a multi-disc clutch can vary the torque distribution based on the driving conditions in the moment. While this allows for precise response to varying surfaces and individual-wheel traction off-road and in inclement weather, it can also enhance handling in any season by favourably influencing the vehicle's rotation.</p>

<p>Designed by the performance-minded artisans at Mercedes-AMG, the GLE's muscular lines are further defined by a deep front apron with larger, louvred outer grilles, a silver chrome insert in the sculpted rear bumper, and colour-keyed fender flares and side sills. the wide grille presents a field of tiny Mercedes-Benz Stars, with a single crossbar anchoring the iconic central Star.</p>

Thirteen high-quality speakers including twin FrontBass subwoofers and a 590-watt 9-channel digital amplifier can fill the cabin with pure digital surround sound while seamlessly compensating for ambient noise.
