Getting Started with MB.CHARGE Public
MB.CHARGE Public is an essential part of the Mercedes-Benz charging ecosystem. This service integrates multiple charging point operators (CPOs) into a single network, including ChargePoint, BC Hydro, Electric Circuit, FLO and Shell Recharge. Register your Mercedes-EQ vehicle

Register your Mercedes-Benz EQ
To enjoy all the charging benefits of your new Mercedes-Benz EQ, you'll need to activate MB.CHARGE Public service within the Mercedes me app. First, please ensure you have registered your Mercedes-Benz EQ vehicle into your Mercedes me app. If you’re set up, you should see your vehicle on your home screen.
Your dealer should have done a full registration for you, but if you still need to activate MB.CHARGE Public, you will see a tile on the home screen.

Activate MB.CHARGE Public
If you see the tile on the bottom of your home screen, click “Activate MB.CHARGE Public” and proceed with registration by clicking “MB.CHARGE Public charging contract.” Next, a prompt will appear asking you to register with ChargePoint and enter your payment information so you can seamlessly pay for charging at any of the 12,000+ charging points nationwide.
Our partner ChargePoint provides the integration of charging points across our network, including their own chargers, as well as those of BC Hydro, Electric Circuit, FLO and Shell Recharge.

Enter your RFID Card number
You’ll be asked to enter your RFID card number during registration. Your keychain-sized RFID card can be found in your welcome kit, stored with the rest of your accessory books and owner's manual. Registration of your RFID card is recommended but not required.
Once MB.CHARGE Public is activated, you can add your RFID card at any time. Please call the Customer Assistance Centre located at the bottom of this page for help.
Service Interruption: BC Hydro Stations
BC Hydro is migrating software providers and as a result will be temporarily disconnected from payment integration tools such as MB.CHARGE Public. Customers are currently unable to find, use, or pay for charging sessions on BC Hydro’s network using MB.CHARGE Public. Once the upgrades have been completed and BC Hydro is able to provide access to customers through MB.CHARGE Public, this notice will be removed.
In the interim, BC Hydro charging stations will continue to be accessible via direct payment at the stations only.
